About Skwlāx te Secwepemcúl̓ecw

Skwlāx te Secwepemcúl̓ecw, also known as the Little Shuswap Lake Band, is a Secwepemc First Nation community located in Chase, British Columbia, Canada. Our community is situated in the traditional territory of the Secwepemc people in the beautiful Shuswap region of British Columbia.

Our nation is recognized for its successful economic development initiatives, including the renowned Quaaout Lodge and Spa on Little Shuswap Lake, which showcases our hospitality and cultural heritage. We also operate the award-winning Talking Rock Golf Course, which has become a premier destination for golf enthusiasts from across the region.

Chase, our community's location, provides a strategic position along the Thompson River and serves as a gateway to the Shuswap Lake region. Our territory encompasses some of the most scenic and culturally significant areas in the Interior of British Columbia, where our people have lived and thrived for thousands of years.
